The retrial for a former Northern Arizona University student charged in a fatal shooting on the Flagstaff campus in 2015 will now move ahead as scheduled. Steven Jones will be tried in March on murder and other charges in the October 2015 shooting here on the NAU campus. Superior Court Judge Dan Slayton affirmed the start of the three-week trial at a hearing this past Friday.

Authorities are investigating the deaths of two wild horses in northern Arizona. Two stallions were found dead Saturday along Forest Service Road 50 and had gunshot wounds. This has previously happened with three other horses in the same area back in 2016. A $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for deaths of the wild horses is being offered by the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group.

One man is dead and another seriously injured after an ATV all-terrain vehicle accident in Glendale. The two men were operating the ATV Monday afternoon when they lost control, rolled and left the roadway. The names and ages of the men haven't been released yet. Police believe speed may have been a factor in the ATV rollover.

Two men have been arrested after a fatal shooting yesterday in Chandler. The two men went to a home early Sunday and allegedly were trying to "sell the services" of two other women who were with them. A fight ensued and the 29 year old home owner, German Roman Medina was shot in the chest. Both suspects fled from the scene with the women and Medina died later at a hospital.
