I’m Alaina Pauli with KJACK News and these are your top headlines for Tuesday, November 20th.

Northern Arizona coach Jerome Souers is stepping down as head football coach after 21 years of leading the Lumberjacks. The school said in a statement Monday that Souers will continue to be a part of the athletic department, working on fundraising and Native American initiatives. Souers went 123-114 overall and 85-77 in the Big Sky Conference. He led the Lumberjacks to the FCS playoffs for the first time in four years last season, but NAU went 4-6 overall and 3-4 in the Big Sky this year.

A Mohave County sheriff's detention officer has been arrested for allegedly bringing drugs and contraband to inmates. Authorities say 24-year-old Ashley Desiree Aquino of Bullhead City was taken into custody Monday. That was after the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team and other agencies reported receiving information that a detention officer was bringing heroin to the Kingman jail. Detectives and sheriff's deputies detained Aquino for questioning. Authorities say Aquino is facing a felony charge of promoting prison contraband.

A gunman opened fire Monday at a Chicago hospital, wounding at least four people, including a police officer and a hospital employee. A police spokesman said the gunman was dead, but it was not immediately clear if he took his own life or was killed by police at Mercy Hospital on Chicago’s South Side. The shooting apparently began as the suspect was walking with a woman near a parking lot. He turned and repeatedly shot the woman in the chest. He then entered the hospital and continued firing. Four people were in critical condition, including an officer. At least one of the four was a hospital employee.
