Coming off an an impressive end to the regular season, the NAU girls volleyball team goes head to head against the best teams in the BigSky Conference in a tournament located in Greeley Colorado. The Lumberjack squad is ready compete after having won the last 10 games of the regular season, 7 of which were 3-0 victories.

To start off the tournament, the Lumberjacks faced off against Montana State who they already beat twice during the regular season. The match starts with ease for NAU as they take a quick lead by winning the first set. Rolling off the momentum from the start of the match, the Lumberjacks advance to the next round of the tournament having won the following to sets.

The semi-finals of the BigSky championship tournament calls for the Lumberjacks to match up against Idaho State. Unlike Montana State, Idaho State was able to beat NAU during one of their two match ups during the regular season. However, the tournament match up showed NAU’s momentum with a 3-0 win over Idaho State.

Due to the semi-finals victory, NAU advances to the championship game versus Idaho. Coming off of a 12 game winning steak, the Lumberjacks are extremely confident during their match up with Idaho. Telling a similar to the close of the regular season NAU was victorious winning 3-0.

Due to their domination during this season, the girls volleyball team advances to the NCAA Championship against Washington State on November 30 in Pullman, Washington.
