I’m Nicholas Bratcher with KJACK News and these are your top headlines for Thursday, November Twenty-Ninth.

Former Arizona Congressman Ed Pastor has died.Pastor, a member of the Democratic party, was Arizona’s first Hispanic Congressman, Serving from 1991 until his retirement in 2014. According to the Associated Press, Republican Governor Doug Ducey praised Pastor as "an Arizona trailblazer and true public servant." Ed Pastor died of a heart attack at a Phoenix hospital on Tuesday. He was seventy-five years old.

Also in Phoenix, A twenty-one year old man charged with shooting and killing a teenage girl was convicted yesterday. A jury found Jason Lindsey guilty of shooting a gun at a sedan from the passenger window of an SUV he was riding in back in 2015. The other vehicle was occupied by sixteen year old Niani Rayshawn Allen, who later died of her injuries.

In Casa Grande yesterday, a helicopter pilot who crashed at a local airport walked for a quarter mile to get help. He had suffered injuries to his face, and was taken to a Phoenix Hospital for treatment. As of this report, There is no word on the pilot’s condition, and the Federal Aviation Administration has not responded to requests for comment.

Well, the holidays are coming and so is the snow. While we will have mostly sunny skies today with a high of forty-seven degrees, we have an 80% chance of snow expected for tonight and a low of twenty-four. The snow is expected to continue into tomorrow with a sixty percent chance, and a thirty percent chance is expected for Saturday.
