This past week was the start of rivalry week and it started off with volleyball and the lady Flagstaff Eagles hosting the lady Coconino Panthers.

The last time these two played it was just a few weeks prior to that the Eagles took care of the Panthers by sweeping them in three easy sets.

This time was different as the Panthers gave the Eagles a challenge forcing a fourth set.

The first set was close but the Eagles took that one 25-18, but the Panthers had the Eagles worrying as they slowly came back in the first set, but Eagles took it easily.

Second set comes around and the lady Eagles got out and early 4-0 point lead but Coconino came back strong and won the second set stopping the Eagles from a four game winning set streak against them.

The Eagles easily finished off the Panthers by winning the third set 25-10 and the fourth set, 25-14.

Also being a big night inside of the rivalry week it was senior night for the Eagles and the two captains, Brooklyn Quick and Tara Brain both being seniors helped lead their team on their last and final regular season home game.

Also being helped by freshman phenom, Gracelyn Nez.

The Eagles take on St. Mary’s from Phoenix in the first round of the playoffs tonight.
